ZenoE has undertaken both long and short term assignments for many different size organisations in multiple industrial sectors, including:
Assignment 1:
A quantitative risk analysis on wharf re-mediation works for a Port in New South Wales. Although the value being only a few million dollars, the client requested to gain a more in depth understanding of the threats and opportunities facing the project’s schedule and budget. ZenoE worked remotely providing templates for assumption based mind maps and coaching the team to data mine their concerns, a probabilistic schedule model was consequently built and integrated with the CAPEX model in @ Risk.
Assignment 2
Working for the world’s largest diversified resource company undertaking a quantitative risk analysis on a multi million dollar ore processing plant which deployed new technology. This assignment involved several days of intense workshops alongside the project team and subject matter experts to explore all the uncertainties that mattered. Several iterations of the Monte Carlo model later and a change to the procurement strategy along the way, the client developed a better understanding of the challenges facing the project and a confidence that it could be delivered within the required time frame.
Client Feedback: Excellent work from John. Great knowledge of the issues that need to be considered in risk management in general and the various detailed areas in overall project delivery. I have worked with John for general risk workshops, constructability issues, CAPEX and Schedule QRA and will seek him out for future projects. John provides excellent management of the teams and workshop dynamics and quality reports.
Assignment 3
Our integrated qualitative and quantitative risk methodologies adopted on a longer term assignment; the development of a new underground coal mine domain. Frequent revisiting of the probabilistic schedule model helped to tune the development mining strategy and institute trigger action response plans to overcome potential possible scenarios and ensure the delivery of a complex multi-billion dollar project.
Client Feedback: We gained a significant level of risk management capability across a broad range due to John’s skills and deep level of risk understanding during his tenure as Risk Manager on our project. John brings the capability to develop leading risk management practices and the confidence to challenge the existing process for the purpose of improvement. I would recommend John as a strong asset to any Project Management Team.
